My tranny woes continue....Sort of....

So, Matt and I discovered that the T/O Bearing was installed correctly. After staring at the car for a bit scratching our heads and making numerous phone calls. We were still stumped.


Well, as I was reinstalling the four bolts on the drive shaft, I discovered this.



This is the Dif cover.

I have not removed it yet to see how bad it is inside. But I am thinking that it is probably going to be more cost effective to find a used rear end, rather than rebuilding this one.

Just thought you all might be interested to see this.

Wow that sucks. So when your tranny went it was also the rear end, or could it be just the rear end?

I'm thinking it was the rear end first, which caused the tranny issues.
